Manbhavan Youth Festival 2023
MK Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India
I participated in the Clay Modeling and Installation competitions, both falling under the category of fine art competitions, held at the External Department of MKBU.
This year, I didn't secure any rank, but the experiences were invaluable. The Clay Modeling competition took place on November 4th, 2023. Timing was 11:00 AM to 01:30 PM. In this competition, participants were given 150 minutes to create art on the spot, with topics provided at the event. I dealt with the topic 'Gramyjivan.'
Topics of Clay Modelling Competition:
- માતૃપ્રેમ
- ગ્રામ્ય જીવન
- સંગીતકાર
In the Installation competition, there were 16 participants, and we focused on the topic 'Suraksha' in the context of women. Our artwork was designed to be 2-sided 3D, visible from all angles, with each side carrying symbolic meaning. The requirements for the Installation were to ensure it was presented in 3D. The installation competition took place on November 5th, 2023. Timing was 08:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
Topics:
- 1. નારીશક્તિ (Women Power)
- 2. સુરક્ષા
- 3. મજૂર
- 4. ચિકિત્સા (આયુર્વેદના સંદર્ભમાં)
This is a group event where teams of four students can participate.
The topics for both competitions were provided spontaneously at the eve
Here is a list of all participants from the Department of English, MKBU, and the topics of their events.
Kalayatra:
This year, the team from the Department of English also took part in Kalayatra with a compelling idea.
Each participant wore a different outfit.
Kala Yatra is arranged as a component of KALA PRADRSHAN, to familiarize the public with its cultural significance.
On November 2, 2023, the Kalayatra kicks off from Samaldas Arts College, Gujarat, starting at 3:00 PM. The procession concludes at J.K. Saravaiya College, Saradarnagar, Bhavnagar, Gujarat. The host for Kalayatra is Shree Swaminarayan Gurukul, Sardarnagar.
I am also participating in Kalayatra along with other students. Our team is focusing on a feminine theme, representing the situations of women in both traditional and modern society. Those portraying the modern aspect of females showcase the brighter and more powerful sides.
The title of our plot is 'Oppression to Freedom: નારી વંદના'
The standing positions represent the transition from traditional to modern situations for women, symbolizing both suppression and freedom.
Face Painting:
Our fellow students have done face painting for Kalayatra.
- Hina Parmar
- Avani Jani
- Gopi Dervaliya
These are the slogans that we used in our group.
